Why use this tool
International sizing standards are inconsistent. A US size 8 dress is a UK 12 and an EU 38. When shopping online from foreign retailers, these converters prevent costly returns and save time.
How it works
Size converters apply fixed offset tables published by standards bodies. Fabric weight tools convert between GSM (grams per square meter) and oz/yd2 using the factor 33.906. Hat size uses head circumference in cm or inches.
Pro tip
When ordering from Asian retailers, size up by two sizes. Most Asian sizing runs smaller than US or European equivalents, and the difference is especially noticeable in shoulder width and sleeve length.
